OPDA and Communities of HOPE Partner to Strengthen New Orleans Neighborhoods
A new partnership expands neighborhood-level violence interruption and reentry support across four New Orleans council districts.
The Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office announced a partnership with Communities of HOPE to expand neighborhood-level violence interruption, victim outreach, and reentry support across New Orleans.
The partnership builds on the office’s existing community engagement work, including the N.O.D.I.C.E. (New Orleans Data-Informed Community Engagement) initiative, which uses case and neighborhood data to direct resources toward the blocks and households carrying the heaviest burden of violence.
What the partnership covers
- Direct victim outreach within 72 hours of a qualifying incident
- Reentry navigation for individuals returning from state custody
- Quarterly neighborhood safety sessions in each participating district
