Closing the tire shop at 1201 N. Claiborne took coordinated action across agencies. Keeping the corridor safe afterwards takes something slower: a standing table where residents, neighborhood leaders, police and prosecutors compare notes and assign follow-up.
The roundtable grew out of the community meetings held during the operation. It now meets monthly, walks the corridor together, and tracks quality-of-life concerns through to resolution.
